Adonis’ Project

Adonis Aloksanian

Glendale High School

I started drawing when I was three. That's when my drawings started to portray actual objects. I have never taken an art class; not even at school. Everything that I can do is self-taught and the amazing gift that my mom passed onto me. I can say this painting is my first, complete, fully colored painting that I have done. Throughout my life, I've drawn with only pencil and have done shading. This sure was a great challenge but I enjoyed every second of it.

In this painting I have shown good and evil; the way I have experienced them in my life. I have shown how they truly approach each other. I have also projected good and evil colliding against one another. Evil's true sight is harsh and ugly yet it wears a beautiful mask and approaches to good from outside with lies. Good is gentle and beautiful and it approaches to evil with honesty from within. They work just like the simple principle of light and dark. Darkness always covers the light, however light always shines within darkness and breaks out. Remember; no matter how thick the shadow is, light can always pierce through.
