I chose the word peace because it is a powerful word that can help anyone in life feel free. I chose this word to make people aware of it. Racism throughout history has shown me a world that I did not know; “racism, discrimination and cruelty” are part of it. We need a world were we can treat each other with respect and not focus on our race or the color of our skin. It is not right for people to put down others because of their skin color. That's why I painted a tanned and a brown colored hand shaking each other's hands and the word peace popping out of them. Also, there are people around the world holding hands to embrace unity. I put meaningful words like believe and freedom around the bricks to describe the meaning of peace. The bricks are connected so, I thought that if I put important words between them that could be a symbol of us people being connected in meaningful and positive way.
