Boys & Girls Club of Venice

My painting is about El Salvador, the Church is the representation of the “cathedral” in San Salvador and the bird is the national bird, the Torogoz. My goal with this painting is to through the various colors be able to portray the beauty of my country, and dismiss its misconceptions to society. While at the same time, I wish to represent what El Salvador means to me. Its beauty not only lies in the vivid landscapes ad pueblos, but also on every single friend and family that I have in El Salvador, and with who I have shared my life. El Salvador has shaped me to the person that I am today.

Therefore, I desire to transmit the message to society; that underneath all the violence ad misconceptions there is a beautiful country fighting to become a better place for its future generations that are eager to learn and represent not only themselves, but also there country.
