My art is based off what I see in the world around me. I use color, texture and imagination to put my ideas onto a canvas. My graffiti art piece, The Fall of Man, was inspired by the Michelangelo painting, The Creation of Adam. The most inspiring part of his painting is “The Touch,” and I wanted to recreate it as a spray paint mural in an urban city. Below the mural you can see two boys, one in silver and one in white. The boy in silver represents for me who humanity is today, materialistic, ignorant, manipulating, and inhumane. All the innocence of a human child is gone, distraught by social media. In the shadows on the other side of the wall if the boy in white, he is simple, he holds flowers and all the innocence a child should have. However in modern society we would view this simple beautiful child as unloved, because he is not decorated in societies elaborate scandal.
Looking at my Art I cannot tell you what to see.
However I can tell you that the human condition is depleting, and if you cannot see it: You are the problem.
