When creating this piece I drew my inspiration for the design from the tarot cards. When drawing and painting The High Priestess I wanted her to look like an ethereal being from the tales of old. I wanted her to represent the old priestesses and oracles of Greek mythology that could see into the whole universe. The Priestess could look into the hearts and souls of people, and see their future, their happy and sad moments. I wanted to take something from my childhood and my heritage and create something beautiful about it. I also took inspirations from old music posters, using very bright and saturated colors creating a very vibrant piece. I wanted to create a piece where the colors would be contrasting but wouldn't be too hard on the eyes.
